I find it interesting that the King is so involved publicly within his own country. Normally one would find kings being very secluded and such but it is not the case for him. He seemed to used to have a very active life with him being in the military and his hobbies like skydiving and racing. There aren't many royal families that have their children in the military and for King Abdullah to be in it is cool. You can tell he sort of misses his old extreme life of jumping out of planes when he said that he couldn't skydive now because of security reasons but that just comes with the position he is in. The tomb they found really interested me the most because it makes me look at really old architecture and wonder how did these people build these great structures. Did they posses some form of math and engineering that our modern society does not know of?

I thought it was pretty cool for King Abdullah himself to be giving the tour of his country. He studied in the US at private boarding as a child, and also the royal military academy in England. Which means he is a well versed and educated man. He lives an adventurous life for a king skydiving, rally car racing, and flying his private black hawk are just a few cool things he does. I like the reason to his coming in to power. His father picked him because he wanted the crown less which means he was not worried about power or ruling someday. He just lived his life which is awesome to me.

One interesting aspect of this video series is that it demonstrates the juxtaposition of modern and ancient elements in Jordan: on the one hand, the first video mentions the "active night life," social and religious tolerance, and strong ties to the West; while later on, we also see the Bedouins, who live the same lifestyle that they have for thousands of years, as well as the ancient abandoned city of Petra.

From the video, it seems apparent that Jordan is a fascinating country with an abundance of natural beauty. I think it would be very interesting to visit Jordan someday, if I ever have the opportunity.

Jordan looks like an amazing country to go and visit. It looks like it has many very interesting places around the country like, The Dead sea, Petra, and the Greek ruins. It is very interesting that King Abdulla is such a modern/western king and has a good outlook on life. Hopefully one day I will have the opportunity to visit Jordan in the future.

I thought it was interesting that the country of Jordan the magnificent and rich land. They have secession to determine the next leader or through lineage and rights. The King Abdullah was a son of The former king of Jordan, the King was trained in military tactics, world skills, and aviation. Hes able to fly helicopters wherever he needs to go which, is different in comparison to American practices for figure heads and leaders to drive on their own.The country of Jordan is very interesting and their customs are a wholesome practice which are stemmed from religion in the country. None the-less i found the hobbies, the life of King Abdullah and his home country of Jordan to interesting , even when he was sick and dying King Abdullah found a way to come back to his home after traveling .
