Morocco Summer Abroad 16: Week eight

1 comment:

  1. Eid was this week, and so we had class only on Monday and the final exam and presentation on Tuesday. The final exam wasn't too rough, but I found this presentation to be just as stressful as the first. After than, we had the rest of the week off. Alana and I took advantage of the free time and took a trip to Spain! We had an amazing time there exploring the city, going to the beach, and experiencing the nightlife. It was really interesting to see the vastly different culture of Tarifa, only an hour away from Morocco. Both cultures are exceptional in their own right and a pleasure to be a part of. We retiurned from our trip on Saturday, and on Sunday I spent my last day in Morocco with my new friends. It was bittersweet to say goodbye to this wonderful country. I am excited to return home to see my family and friends and to the comforts I am so used to, but leaving Morocco was hard to do. My first trip abroad is officially over and it has only made my wanderlust worse! At times it was hard to be in a country so foreign to my own. However, this trip has been something that I will always remember as my first amazing adventure and I hope in the future there will be many more to come. Morocco is a beautiful country full of warm and welcoming people. Youssef, thank you so much for the opportunity to see your home, it was a truly priceless experience and I am so grateful to you.
